About 50 km from Fethiye in the Seydikemer district, Saklıkent Canyon is Türkiye's longest and deepest canyon: 18 km long, with rock walls rising up to 300 metres. Fed by snowmelt from the Akdağ mountains, the stream stays icy even in summer; the visit starts on a wooden walkway bolted to the cliff and continues as a knee-deep wade into the canyon. Riverside platforms serve trout and gözleme at the entrance, and rafting and a zipline round off the day. The ancient city of Tlos is 15 minutes away.

18 km Canyon
Only the first 4 km of the canyon can be walked; the midday sun never reaches the floor between the 300-metre walls, so it stays noticeably cool even on the hottest summer day.
Stream Walk & Mud Bath
Where the walkway ends, step into the stream and wade between the rock walls; coating yourself in the clay mud along the way is a local tradition. Water shoes are a must.
Rafting, Tubing & Zipline
Rafting or a gentle solo tubing run on the Eşen River as it leaves the canyon; a zipline crossing above the canyon at the entrance.
